I have read a lot about the law of attraction and one of the most often taught actions to take is to give so that you may recieve. If you want mone, give money with gratitude, and you will recieve more than you have given. That’s a tough concept to get, but indeed does it work. Here is a little story.
I work in a store that has a Dunkin’ Donuts attatched to it (I should say I used to work there because I won’t be there for long as I am officially giving my notice tomorrow, there is just too much negativity going on there that is holding me back. that and I HATE working retail for pennies and be treated like shit by everyone) and for Christmas, my dad gave me DD gift books so I can get my coffee everyday. I don’t think he knew that I worked in the same building as a DD, but that’s not the point.
I get free coffee while I am working, but I can buy food (I use that term loosely) if I so choose. The other day I grabbed my last set of $5 gift certificates, intending to purchase something with them either that day or in the near future being that I was short on cash.
Then an idea flashed into my head. I have a friend who loves Dunkin Donuts, but she is hurting financially right now and has to sacrifice a lot right now for her kids/family. So I decided to give her my last gift certificates, seeing that she would really appreciate it and it seemed like the right thing to do. Afterall I had a little cash and if I really wanted something I would buy it myself (which is rare being a vegatarian my food choices are more limited thatn most people’s)
GOOD STORY,BUT WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE LAW OF ATTRACTION?
Everything. I usually depend on Adam bringing me lunch, seeing that I do not get a break at all, even though I work 8 hours a day. I don’t get a lunch or even a bathroom break sometimes, so Adam is kind enough to see that I d not starve all day. Well that day he couldn’t bring me lunch, so I decided to get a bagel so that I would at least not have hunger pains.
So I go to the counter, place my order and the kid working said with a smile “it’s free today, don’t worry about it”. That NEVER happens. It’s a franchise and the owners are very strict about not giving anything away. Awesome! Free food for me. Later in that day, one of the second shift workers offered me a coffee drink, again free of charge. One that is usually about $4.50 by itself. I received about $7.25 worth of free products that day, $2.25 more than I originally had in gift certificates.
The moral of the story, give with love in your heart, and YOU WILL recieve more. Always.
